Saint Mark to Host Organist Aaron Tan on January 17th

Saint Mark Lutheran Church and The America Guild of Organists present Aaron Tan on January 17th, 2020. Aaron will be presenting a chat at 6:30pm following by an organ recital at 7:30pm. This event is free and open to the public.

About Aaron

For over 10 years, concert organist Aaron Tan enjoyed simultaneous careers as both a professional scientist and musician. While doing graduate and post-doctoral research in polymer science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Aaron also competed in both piano and organ competitions, gave concerts across the country, and served as an organist for many of the area’s significant churches. In this pre-concert presentation, Aaron will share insights into how he balanced his dual careers, and offer some thoughts on how music and science might not actually be so different after all.
